Due to a main line break and after a discussion with the Arkansas State Health Department, the Mountain View Water Department has issued a Precautionary Boil Water for customers on Herpel Road, between Webb Acre Road and Possum Trot Road not to include Possum Trot Road.  This will include anyone who lives on Herpel or a road off of Herpel Road in the affected area.

Under the Boil Water Order, affected customers must boil their water briskly for one minute before human consumption for drinking or cooking.  All ice should be discarded and use boiled water only. 

The Precautionary Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the leak is fixed, an adequate disinfectant level is established throughout the distribution system, and bacteriological samples show that the water is safe to drink.
